Crispy pepperoni, fresh basil, melty cheese, and a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey come together in this easy summer pizza recipe made for backyard hangs, patio dinners, and sharing with friends. Best served with a chilled glass of Butternut Chardonnay.
Serves: 4-6
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 12–15 min
Ingredients
1 ball store-bought pizza dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
20–25 pepperoni slices
1/4 cup sliced black olives
Fresh basil leaves
Mike’s Hot Honey, for drizzling
Olive oil
Flour or cornmeal, for dusting
Serve with: Butternut Chardonnay, chilled
Method
Preheat oven to 475°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while heating.
Stretch dough into a 12-inch circle or rustic oval on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel and brush edges lightly with olive oil.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Top with mozzarella, pepperoni, and black olives.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling with crispy edges.
Finish with fresh basil and a generous drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey just before serving.
Slice, pour a chilled glass of Butternut Chardonnay, and enjoy your ultimate summer pizza night.
Pro Tip
For the best sweet-heat flavor, drizzle Mike’s Hot Honey over the pizza right before serving while it’s still hot. Hosting friends? Slice into smaller squares and serve family-style with extra hot honey on the side for dipping and drizzling.
